Technical Definition-An attack that must be blocked standing. Overhead attack animations usually have the character actually attacking the defender's head with a downward motion, making them easier to distinguish. Most air attacks are overheads and characters may have grounded overhead attacks to mix up the opponent when used in conjunction with low attacks.

In Other Words-The overhand in boxing is a punch thrown with a semi-circular motion using body weight to strike the upper body.
