Technical Definition-The style of notation used in anime games and other series such as Soulcaliber or Virtua Fighter. Each direction is mapped to a corresponding number on a standard number pad found on a keyboard assuming the player is on the player 1 side. For example a down, down-forward, forward motion would be notated as 236. The four buttons vary from game to game and can range from A,B,C,D to a more traditional Light, Medium, Heavy, Special.
